COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Update #1

We will be posting updates based on information we receive from the authorities on any developments with COVID-19 that are relevant to Strata Corporations and our firm.  Below is our first update.

Actions Stratawest and your Strata Corporation are currently taking:

• Closely monitoring the situation and taking action. We’re following updates on COVID-19, including guidance from the BC Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (BC CDC) and local health officials.
• Assisting with Prevention. Janitorial staff have been asked to clean and sanitize high traffic areas more frequently, particularly items such as elevators, gym equipment and doors.
• Educating Residents.  When more information, specific to the Community (ie. a positive test within the property), becomes available, we will post it in high visibility areas.

What you can do

• Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently. Cover your nose and mouth if you have to sneeze or cough. And use hand sanitizer with at least 60{e013b784d3a72fb890c716aa74480ba3c3f3d9e4c9f6942fcb94dfe33921e922} alcohol content. Please stay home if you are sick.
• If you need to see a doctor, work with a medical professional to discuss transportation options. Per the BC CDC, if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspect you may have it, you should not use ridesharing, public transportation, or taxis.
• Stay informed. The BC CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) are updating their sites with the latest information.
