The Third Annual Stratawest Christmas Toy Drive

With incredible support from our staff and industry colleagues alike, Stratawest is proud to have blown the doors off the North Shore Christmas Bureau for the third year running.  The response to our Toy Drive this year was again awe-inspiring, with amazingly generous donations of toys, musical instruments, gift cards, sporting equipment, iPods and other items for needy families… there was actually more than the picture below shows and it continues to come in!  

We were also able to take part this season in a toy auction which raised $15,500 for B.C. Children’s Hospital, and were very pleased to be a first time sponsor of the Vancouver Special Children’s Christmas Party held at Canada Place this past weekend. Some of our staff and their family members even took the opportunity to attend, volunteer and actively spread some holiday cheer at this wonderful and important event that benefits the terminally ill, the intellectually and/or physically challenged, and children who have suffered from domestic violence or abuse. From the looks on the faces of the parents and children attending the event, the day meant everything to them… for the parents it was a chance to see some smiles and be able to get some gifts for their children, and for the children it was simply a day of holiday fun.

We want to sincerely thank and acknowledge the support of our colleagues in the industry and our staff for making this holiday season a better one for so many kids and their families. It is because of the participation and big hearts of many that we are collectively able to make a difference in so many lives, so thank you so much to those that took part and to the many others holding events of their own this holiday season.
